Koto Bizen Wakizashi in Rare Custom Shin Gunto Mounts

Mountings: Near Mint custom made light weight shin gunto mounts with Ishime lacquer and all matching and complete fittings.  Some lacquer chips near the drag from use.  Wakizashi gunto mounts are extremely rare; this was most likely a family blade that was remounted for use by a High Ranking Imperial Army Officer.
Comments:  This is an extremely vibrant active blade with wonderful hada that shows chike and vines of ko-nie streaming through the hada.  It is in its original pre war polish, there is one small nick about12 inches from the hamachi, several use scratches and the tip is nicked by about 1mm.  A wonderful elegant blade with a deep graceful koto sori.
