Mountings:  The sword is in a saya wrapped in blue painters tape and it is probably not very good. 
Overall Condition:  The blade appears to have had some rust on it at some point and has been sanded including, I believe, the nakago.  The fine scratches make it hard to see detail or especially photograph but it has full temper.  There is one small opening in the hamon and the tip has been chipped but otherwise the blade appears solid.  The one piece copper habaki will need to be replace as part of a restoration but is solid enough to hold tight.
