Forging Pattern:  Tight Mokume
Tempering Pattern: Suguha in Ko Nie and Nioi
Dimensions:  Blade Length:  26.5 inchesNakago: 8.3 inches 7.5 mm thick 32 mm wide
Mountings:  Mint original 39 pattern gunto mounts with all matching parts.  Red/Brown tassle (majors and colonel) and an unusual gold chain mounted.
Overall Condition:  Excellent.  Nice original polish with some very minor surface rust.  Very nicely made mantetsu with some interesting custom touches to the mounts.  I guess if you are high ranking enough, you could get away with spicing up your sword...
