Mountings:  Nice gendai koshirae with Edo period mounts.  All original to the sword.
Overall Condition:  Very Good.  Nicely mounted sword made in the 1940s for civilian use.  Good quality shakudo menuki and copper and shakudo fuchi kashira from the 1800s.  Sword has a nick in (see pictures) but otherwise perfect with no rust or stains.  Handle wrap is 100% intact.  Hamon is very bright and well executed.  For more information on this smith, please follow this link.
