Shinto Wakizashi signed Kanemoto

Signature:  Kanemoto.
Year Made:  Shinto
Forging Pattern: Difficult to tell due to polish.
Tempering Pattern: Midare in nioi, looks like koshi-no-hiraita midare.
Dimensions:  Blade Length:  18.125 inchesNakago: 5.5 inches 6 mm thick and 30 mm wide at Hamachi
Mountings: Old saya in black lacquer with kurikata and kozuka pocket. Good condition, some lacquer missing and some small dings, copper habaki in good condition.
Overall Condition:  Fair. Sword is covered with scratches, stabilized "spider rust" and minor pitting. Nice takanoha (hawk feather) yasurimei, should polish without problem. A nice little wak, interesting that almost all smiths signing Kanemoto were from the Mino group and this hamon has a distinctly Bizen flavor.
