Signature:  Musashi Kuni AkiYuki Tsukuru Kore, Dated Showa 18, Jan (1943)
Forging Pattern:  Tight Mokume
Tempering Pattern: Choji with Ashi in ko nie and nioi.
Dimensions:  Blade Length:  26.25 inchesNakago: 8.3 inches 7.5 mm thick 32 mm wide
Mountings:  44 pattern mounts with a lacquered wood saya.  Handle wrap is frayed and is missing one menuki.
Overall Condition:  Excellent. Blade was recently cleaned up by polisher, there are some small rust pits and 2 small nicks that remain.  Nakago looks like it got wet at some point and has pitting.  This is a extremely well forged sword with a nice well controlled choji hamon that you do not often see in gendais.
