Civilian Mounted Hand Forged Gunto

Forging Pattern:  Muji Hada
Tempering Pattern: Unusual midare for 6 inches and then Suguha, very nice a bright hamon.
Dimensions:  Blade Length:  24.2 inchesNakago: 8.5 inches 7 mm thick 31 mm wide
Mountings:  Work in progress mounts...original handle foundation needs to be rewrapped, saya needs a koiguchi.  Has original habaki.
Overall Condition:  Excellent.  Nicely polished sword with a very interesting hamon for a blade from teh 40s, most likely a custom order sword.
