Overall Condition:  Very Good.  An unusual shape for a sword made in the 1900s; the shape is typical of a Kamakura Tachi with Ikubi Kissaki and a deeply curved nakago.  This is most likely a custom ordered sword for an affluent officer.  The hamon in Nie is very thick and high, running into the shinogi ji in some places.  Original polished is hazed over and there is some stable rust in the monouchi ha.  An unusual and interesting gendaito.
