Dimensions:  Blade Length:  26.5 inchesNakago: 8.5 inches 7 mm thick and 35 mm wide at Hamachi
Mountings:  Excellent 1944 shin gunto mounts, These mouts look like they were never used there is tiny paint loss on the bottom of the saya but with the exception of that they are super clean. Silver washed habaki.
Overall Condition:  Excellent, this is a hefty sword in fresh American polish, the polish is well done the blade has no waves and the lines are crisp and correct, The blade has very tastefully done horimono of bonji and a wide motohave and extended chu-kissaki. The hamon is a mixture of suguha and gunome with much nie sprinkling out from the hamon into the ji. There are a few tint pits and tateware after the polish as the sword was very rusty but overall this is a beautiful package that needs nothing. Semimaru Masahiro was a Rikugun Jumei Tosho and the star stamp confirms that this is a gendaito (not that the nie would leave any doubt) The perfect example of 1944 mounts for the collector of miitaria and a nicely mounted gendaito in fresh polish for the collector of Gendaito.
