Mountings: 39 pattern shin gunto with all matching fittings, missing the spring clip. Silver foiled habaki.
Overall Condition: Very Good in wartime polish. Some surface scratches and haze. This sword should polish out very nicely. It has a wide think hamon of nioi sprinkled with ko-nie. No visible forging flaws. A very nicely balanced sword that was once owned by the founder of a local Kenjitsu school.
