Overall Condition: Very good, A nice gendaito with a hada and some activity in the hamon although a cleaning attempt left most of the blade covered in a fine scratch making photography difficult. It has no nicks or other flaws. Masayasu is featured in Slough's book of WW II smiths as making medium grade gendaito and having won 4th seat in a forging competition. A nice well balanced blade that could be left as is or a reasonably priced polisher could remove the scratch and expose all of the workmanship of this sword.
