Year Made: A Day in May 4th Year of Taishi (1915)

Forging Pattern: Masame
Tempering Pattern: Suguha with abundant gonomi ashi
Dimensions:  Blade Length:  26.25 ", Nakago: 7.25", Mihaba: 1 1/4", Sakihaba: 7/8", Kasane: 1/4", Sori: 1/2" 
Mountings:  Shirasaya with one piece gold foil Habaki
Condition:  Excellent.  Recently restored.  His birth name is Kasama Yoshikazu, born on April 1st 1886 in Shizuoka.  He studied under his uncle Miyaguchi Shigetoshi and continued his training under Morioka Masayoshi.  Shigetsugu was Nihonto Tarne Denshusho's Master Swordsmith.  His work is highly regarded and coveted by advanced gendaito collectors.
